Paralegal Career Information

Paralegals and Legal Secretaries work closely with attorneys, judges, prosecutors and/or public defenders. While attorneys assume the final responsibility for legal work, they seek the assistance of paralegals and Legal Secretaries in all phases of case management and trial preparation. Paralegal and Legal Secretary opportunities are projected to grow faster than average in the coming years, as they increasingly perform many legal tasks formerly carried out by lawyers. Legal Training curriculum includes instruction in civil litigation, business law, real estate law, torts, family law, and the law of wills, trusts, and estates.
